3 Reasons Why You Need to Invest In Good Clippers

by Anjelina Tongco

Every man needs good clippers, no matter how low-maintenance they insist their hair/style is. Clippers are not just good for creating new looks but for maintaining the one that you already have, too. They’re easy to learn how to use, relatively low-maintenance, and not all that expensive as well. There’s really no reason not to get a clipper for your personal use, if you think about it. And, yet, there are still guys out there who would rather go to their barber for every single trim and cut, no matter how minimal.

In case you’re one of those people and you’re still looking for a sign to get your hands on one of those clippers, here it is. Check out these 3 reasons why you need to invest in good clippers, especially if you’re a guy.

  1. It will save you time - if you think you’re saving time by going to the barber and having your cut/trim done there every time, you’re sorely mistaken. Cutting/trimming your own hair with your own hair clippers at home only takes 10 to 15 minutes, maybe a bit more if you want to be really meticulous about it. Going to the barber, on the other hand, requires booking an appointment a day or two ahead of time, driving to the place, and then sitting there and enduring small talk while your barber does your hair.
  2. It will save you money - how much does a haircut go for these days? $45? $60? The more complicated ones can sometimes even go beyond $100, depending on where you are and which barber you go to. Meanwhile, some of the best hair clippers out there only cost around $200 to $300. That’s an average of 5 haircuts’ worth and they’ll last for years which means you can give yourself more than 5 haircuts with them. They may cost a bit upfront, but think long-term and you’ll see how it’s really an investment.
  3. It can make you money - the inflation rates are crazy these days. Have you seen how much gas costs now? A little side hustle here and there is a great way to supplement your income and a clipper could just be your ticket to a new side gig. Get yourself one, do a crash course on how to cut/trim hair, and start offering your services to family and friends. If this is something you’re considering, make sure to get a really good quality clipper or two, like those Wahl clippers, Babyliss, or any of these professional hair clippers.
